The Deltec Skimmer 6000ix is powered by the low-consumption and powerful Deltec DCS 1700 pump. This generates a maximum of 1600 liters of air with a consumption of only 38 watts.
The ergonomic cylindrical shape
Thanks to its ergonomic cylindrical shape, the Deltec Skimmer 6000 ix achieves optimal skimming results. The shape of the skimmer does not taper towards the top. This allows the small air bubbles to rise unhindered, are fully saturated, and only burst in the riser tube of the skimmer cup. From there, the collected scum can be drained via a drain hose without having to remove the skimmer cup.
Cleaning System
An optional cleaning system is available for the Deltec Skimmer 6000 ix. Turning the skimmer cup lid cleans the inner riser tube of deposits. If these deposits are not removed regularly, the skimming performance will be drastically reduced, as foam bubbles burst prematurely on this layer and thus cannot contribute to water purification.
Disassembly, Dimensions & Construction
The regular cleaning of the pump is made very easy by the simple and quick disassembly of the skimmer. The Deltec Skimmer 6000 ix can be assembled and disassembled without tools. Our tests have shown that the pump can be removed from the skimmer in less than 20 seconds. The dimensions of our skimmer are designed so that you can easily install it in your filter tank. The high volume of the cylindrical shape means a small footprint is sufficient. You can operate the Deltec Skimmer 6000 ix in water depths ranging from 18 cm to 26 cm.
